Do you love your houseplants?

Do you live in Kent?

Would you like to be the subject of a (tiny) opera?

There's lots of classical music about the beauty of plant-life, so why shouldn't it celebrate how much you love the cacti in your bathroom?

We know plants mean a lot to a lot of people, whether they're in a house, a flat, or a room, with a neat row of pots or an indoor jungle. If that's you, and you're in Kent, we'd like to talk.

For our new online project, we want to speak to people near our home in Whitstable about their plants! We're looking for three volunteers to be interviewed and photographed with their beloved monstera and cacti (and peace lilies and spider plants and philodendrons).

You and your plants will be photographed by a brilliant portrait photographer. Then a brilliant, local composer will write a brand new piece of music, a song using your own words to be recorded by a professional opera singer. We'll put the photographs and music together and release them online as a 'mini photo opera' in 2023*.

If you're interested, or you know the perfect person for us to talk to, then we'd love to hear from you. You can email us at info@wearehera.co.uk, or fill out this simple form and we'll get back to you.

If you're new to Hera, why not have a listen to 'Response', a 4 minute piece we commissioned by composer Yaz Lancaster featuring gardening and chrysanthemums?

*Don't worry, you can tell us if there are pictures or parts of the interview you don't want us to use!
